Questions people ask

How tall is it, really?

Twelve feet is the commercial name for this size. Either way it stands taller than the door beside it, so measure the drop from your gutter before you decide where it goes.

What actually lights up?

The eyes, the mouth and the chest — all three come on together when you switch it on. The eyes are LCD screens that blink and shift on their own; the mouth and the ribcage glow like there's fire behind them.

Does it move or make sound?

No. This one is light only — no motion sensor, no app, no recorded sound and no live voice mode. The arms pose however you set them while you assemble it, then stay put. If you want a version with a moving head, a talking mouth and a phone-controlled sensor, that's a different animatronic in the collection.

What does it take to put up?

At least two adults, three recommended — the manufacturer's manual is explicit about this for the lift and the takedown. Budget about an hour. It comes with a stepladder-height build, an Allen wrench for the joints, and a cable that has to be secured before you stand it up.

Does it come with stakes?

Yes — four ground stakes ship in the box, plus the steel base it stands on. If your soil is soft or you get real wind where you are, a sturdier stake kit is sold separately; this one is not rated for storms or strong wind, and the manual says to lay it down before either.

Batteries or wall outlet?

It plugs into a standard wall outlet — no batteries. The power adapter also runs the timer, so the outlet you pick decides where it stands. Walk the distance before the box arrives.

Indoors or outdoors?

Both are fine — it ships with stakes and a base built for a lawn. The manufacturer notes it performs best indoors, so if you're leaving it out for weeks in wet weather, that's worth knowing going in.

How does it store?

It comes apart into the same flat pieces it arrived in — base, legs, torso, arms and head — and goes back into the original box for the off-season.
