A full-size witch riding her broom straight up, the stick planted in a four-arm floor base with the bristles on the grass and the hat at twelve feet. She moves and makes noise when the sensor trips, and the green face over the purple cape is the outline every kid on the block knows. Goes at the top of the walk or the corner of the lawn, within cord reach of an outdoor outlet.

Why it holds up
The broom is the mast
There is no separate frame to dress around. The broomstick runs from her hands down to the four-arm black base, bristles at the bottom, so from the sidewalk the only thing holding her up is the thing she is supposed to be riding.

It is 120V plug-in. A cord to an outdoor outlet and she has power for the whole month; nobody is up a ladder the night before swapping batteries in the dark.
Scary at the right dose
