Why it holds up
Aim low, let the fog carry it
The spike puts the head near ground level, so the beam skims the grass instead of pointing at the sky. Run a fogger past it and the whole cone shows up from the sidewalk.

Most yard lights wash out under a pole light and the front of the house goes flat. These stay bright enough to read through that glare, so the color still lands on the siding.
