How big is it once it is set up?
Thirty-five inches tall and fifty-eight inches across — nearly five feet of lawn. The width is the part people underestimate: it puts the piece in the same class as the big groundbreakers rather than among the porch props.
Do I need tools to put it together?
No. It assembles without tools despite the size, goes up in one trip from the garage and comes apart the same way on the first.
How deep does it get buried?
It does not get buried — the arms and torso set on the ground and the pose does the work. Pull mulch or leaves against the wrists and the base and the dig finishes itself. Nothing is sunk, so nothing has to be dug out in November.
What holds it down in wind?
It is wide and low, which is most of the answer. On an open lot, run a stake or an anchor kit through the base into the turf. Do not lean it on a headstone and expect both to still be standing in the morning.
