Why it holds up

One prop on a stake reads as a decoration. Two dozen loose bones read as something the ground gave up, especially half buried in mulch or dropped in the grass along the walk.
Bone white carries at night
White reads clearly under a porch light and low landscape lighting. From the sidewalk the shapes stay legible against dark grass, while most of the yard goes flat.
