The stakes that keep the whole yard standing
A bundle of black rebar ground stakes, 12 in. each, with a hooked head and a sharpened tip. They go through the base plate of a groundbreaker, a fence panel or an inflatable tether and disappear into the turf. From the sidewalk nobody sees them. That is the point.

Why it holds up
Rebar, not bent wire
The pins packed in with most props are thin wire that folds in the first real gust. These are ribbed rebar with a J-hook head, so the hook catches the base plate instead of pulling straight through it.
Twelve inches of rebar
Each stake is 12 in. long. Drive it until the J-hook seats down on the base plate and nearly all of that length sits under the turf. Lean the stake away from the prop so the pull works against the hook.
Black, so it reads as shadow
The finish is flat black rather than bare metal, so there is little there to catch a porch light. From the sidewalk the prop looks like it is standing on its own.
Built for outdoors
Halloween night, then the tote
On the 31st the wind comes off the street every time a car passes, and these hold where the wire pins that came with your props would have folded. November first you pull each stake by the hook, knock the dirt off and drop the set in the tote with the rest of the hardware. Same stakes go back in the ground next year.
