Questions people ask

How tall is it really?

Eleven feet, 133.5 inches. It clears the roofline of a single-storey house and reaches the upstairs windows of a two-storey, so people slow down before they can see what it is.

What lights up?

The eyes and the chest glow out through the wrapping, so on a dark lawn you see the glow before you work out the shape. The light is inside the piece, not aimed at it.

Does it make noise all night?

No. A motion sensor triggers it when someone walks up, and it plays one of three sounds — it is not looping all night for the whole street.

Do the arms move?

The shoulders pose by hand, they do not motor on their own. You set the arms once — reaching forward for the walk-up, or hanging, or one of each — and they hold there for the season.

Do I arrange the wrapping myself?

Yes. It ships with cloth strips you place yourself, so no two of these look the same. Pull some loose so they move in the wind.

Can it stay outside?

Yes, it is outdoor rated. It ships with ground stakes and an extension base so it stays put on a lawn.

How long does it take to set up?

About 45 minutes with two people. It stands on a metal base, the stakes anchor it to the ground, and then it is just a matter of arranging the cloth strips the way you want them.

What powers it?

It plugs into a regular outdoor outlet with the included power adapter — no batteries to replace mid-season.
